Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026

National Center for Legal Integrity LLC (“NCLI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates NCLI.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter, join a free or paid membership, make a payment, or communicate with us. It also explains your privacy choices and how to contact us.

Our launch services are intended for adults in the United States. This policy covers our website and membership communications. We are not currently accepting demand letters, lawsuit documents, incident reports, or other legal case submissions through a database or upload service. We will provide appropriate notices before launching those features.

1. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with NCLI. Personal information can include business contact details when they identify an individual.

Contact and location information

Examples and sources: Name, email address, phone number, state, mailing address, and billing address that you provide through forms, membership registration, checkout, or correspondence

Why we collect it: Deliver subscriptions, administer memberships, respond to inquiries, handle billing, and communicate with you

Business and professional information

Examples and sources: Business name, industry, and other business details you choose to provide

Why we collect it: Understand our membership, make content relevant to members, and respond to business inquiries

Membership and transaction information

Examples and sources: Subscription status, membership level, payment amount, payment status, transaction identifiers, and billing history supplied by you or our membership and payment providers

Why we collect it: Manage access, process recurring payments, maintain records, and handle cancellations, refunds, or billing questions

Communications and preferences

Examples and sources: Messages you send, support requests, communication preferences, and records of consent or opt-out requests

Why we collect it: Respond to you, manage communications, and document your choices

Device and website activity

Examples and sources: IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, referring pages, pages viewed, time of visit, and interactions with forms or links, collected through our website and service providers

Why we collect it: Operate and secure the website, understand usage, and measure performance

Email engagement and advertising activity

Examples and sources: Email deliveries, opens and link clicks; interactions with advertisements; and subscription or payment conversion events reported by our newsletter and advertising tools

Why we collect it: Evaluate communications and campaigns, understand audience interests, and improve outreach

We collect information directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from the service providers involved in your interactions with NCLI. Our newsletter and advertising tools may associate activity with a subscriber, browser, or device.

Required fields will be identified at the point of collection. If you do not provide information needed for a particular service, we may be unable to provide that service. Providing a phone number does not, by itself, constitute consent to every type of marketing call or text.

Payment information. Stripe processes payments. When you use its checkout, Stripe collects the payment credentials needed to complete the transaction. NCLI receives transaction and billing information and may receive limited payment-method details, such as card brand and last four digits. We do not receive your full card number or card security code through the standard Stripe checkout.

Information you should not submit. Please do not send Social Security numbers, government identification documents, medical records, confidential legal files, or other sensitive information through ordinary signup forms or email. Do not include another person’s private information unless you are authorized to provide it.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide the website, newsletters, memberships, and other services you request.

  • Process payments and administer recurring subscriptions, billing, and membership support.

  • Respond to questions and communicate about your account, payments, or changes affecting our services.

  • Send NCLI news, articles, initiative updates, membership offers, and requests for financial support, subject to your choices and applicable consent requirements.

  • Contact you by email, telephone, or text message as described in Section 5.

  • Understand readership and membership interests, improve content, and measure the effectiveness of our outreach.

  • Promote NCLI and measure or tailor advertising, subject to applicable privacy choices.

  • Detect misuse, prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, and protect our services.

  • Keep necessary business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and establish or defend legal rights.

If we intend to use information for a materially different purpose, we will provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by law before doing so.

3. How we disclose personal information

Providers supporting NCLI. We disclose information to providers that help operate the services described in this policy. Their access depends on the function they perform and the information involved.

  • Beehiiv: Website and newsletter hosting, signup forms, subscriber management, membership administration, and engagement reporting; this can involve contact details, member profile fields, subscription records, and website or email activity

  • Stripe: Checkout, recurring billing, payment security, and transaction administration; this involves payment credentials provided directly to Stripe and related contact, billing, and transaction information

  • Google Analytics: Website measurement; this can involve browser or device identifiers and website activity, depending on configuration and your choices

  • Meta, including Facebook: Advertising measurement and promotion of NCLI through the Meta Pixel; this can involve online identifiers, visited pages, and events such as signups

  • Anthropic and the operator of our Claude connection: AI assistance connected to Beehiiv; the information involved depends on the permissions granted and records actually accessed, as explained below

  • Other operational providers and professional advisers: Communications delivery, technical support, accounting, or legal assistance, when engaged and when information is needed for that work

Claude and connected tools. NCLI uses Claude, provided by Anthropic, with a connection to Beehiiv. Depending on the permissions granted and tasks performed, this connection can enable processing of Beehiiv content and subscriber records, including contact details, membership information, and engagement data. Information retrieved or submitted through the connection may be processed by Anthropic and, if separately operated, the connection provider. Provider retention and use of that information depend on the applicable service terms, account settings, and agreements. This policy does not represent that subscriber information is excluded from AI processing or model training.

Advertising disclosures. We do not currently sell or rent our member contact lists, or provide those lists to sponsors, partner organizations, or political campaigns for their own independent outreach. However, disclosures through advertising technologies can qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under some state privacy laws, even when no money changes hands. The advertising-related information potentially involved is online identifiers and website interaction or conversion activity. See Sections 4 and 8 for choices.

Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect people or property, investigate fraud or misuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business changes. Information may be disclosed to advisers or a prospective or actual successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of NCLI’s business, subject to applicable legal protections.

Your direction. We may disclose information when you request or authorize a particular disclosure. Joining NCLI does not by itself authorize us to publish your name, business information, or private correspondence as a testimonial or member story.

Providers may process some information on NCLI’s behalf and some for their own purposes, such as payment fraud prevention or operating their platforms. Their independent processing is also described in their privacy notices. Using a provider does not eliminate NCLI’s responsibilities for its own processing.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website and communications use cookies, pixels, local storage, tracking links, and similar technologies.

  • Essential technologies support functions such as sessions, security, membership access, payment processing, and remembering privacy choices.

  • Analytics technologies help measure website usage and content performance, including through Google Analytics.

  • Advertising technologies help measure campaigns and promote NCLI, including through the Meta Pixel. Advertising platforms may connect information from NCLI.com with information from other websites or their own services.

  • Email measurement helps us understand deliveries, opens, and link clicks. Your email software may offer controls that limit automatic image loading or tracking.

Website choices. Use the website’s cookie controls to accept or reject optional analytics and advertising technologies and to change your selection. Where consent is required, we obtain it before activating the relevant optional technologies.

Browser settings can also block or remove cookies, although doing so can affect website functionality. Cookie choices generally apply to a particular browser or device; you may need to make them again if you change devices or clear browser storage. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily stop every form of tracking.

Opt-out preference signals. Where applicable law requires, we honor recognized signals such as Global Privacy Control as requests to opt out of relevant sales, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal. These signals differ from older “Do Not Track” settings, which our website does not separately use to change its practices.

You may also contact us to request an advertising-related opt-out. Website tracking controls do not automatically unsubscribe you from email or text messages; communication choices are described below.

5. Email, text messages, and phone calls

Email. We use email to send newsletters, NCLI updates, membership communications, and promotional messages. You can stop marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us. We may still send necessary transactional communications, such as receipts or notices about a paid membership. Unsubscribing from marketing does not automatically cancel a paid subscription.

Texts and calls. We may use your phone number to respond to inquiries, provide membership support, and conduct NCLI marketing. We obtain any consent required for the specific calls or messages, including prior express written consent where required for automated marketing calls or texts. Agreeing to receive marketing calls or texts is not a condition of purchasing a membership.

You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP to a message that accepts replies, following the instructions provided, or contacting us. You can ask a caller to stop marketing calls or contact us with that request. We also honor other reasonable methods of revoking consent where required by law. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Additional program terms will be supplied when you enroll in a text messaging program.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We may provide this information to providers that deliver or support NCLI’s communications and for the legal or business purposes described above, subject to applicable restrictions.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, considering the information’s sensitivity, the service involved, your choices, and applicable legal requirements.

  • Subscriber and membership records: while needed to maintain your subscription or membership and address related requests.

  • Billing and transaction records: while needed for accounting, tax obligations, payment disputes, and other legal requirements.

  • Support correspondence: while needed to resolve the matter and maintain an appropriate record.

  • Analytics and advertising records: for the measurement periods configured in the relevant tools, subject to privacy choices and applicable restrictions.

  • Consent and suppression records: while needed to demonstrate permission or ensure we do not resume communications you have declined.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it as appropriate. Limited copies may remain in backups until their ordinary replacement cycle, subject to appropriate restrictions, or in records required for a legal hold. A deletion request may not require destruction of records that the law permits or requires us to keep.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the personal information we handle. These include restricting access to authorized personnel and providers, protecting account credentials, and using the security features available through our service platforms.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If an incident requires notice under applicable law, we will provide the required notice.

Please protect your account access and avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email.

8. Privacy rights and requests

You can contact us to ask about your information, request an update or deletion, or change your communication preferences.

Depending on your state of residence, the law’s applicability to NCLI, and available exceptions, you may also have legal rights to:

  • Confirm whether we process your information and access information about our collection, use, and disclosures.

  • Obtain a copy of your information in a portable format.

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Delete information.

  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive information, where the law provides that right.

  • Opt out of certain profiling or automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.

  • Appeal a decision about a privacy request.

  • Exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination.

How to request. Email [email protected] with your request. “Privacy Request” is a helpful subject line but is not required. Include the email address associated with your membership and enough information for us to understand the request. Do not send identification documents or sensitive information unless we specifically request them through an appropriate channel.

We may verify identity before providing access, correcting information, or deleting records, and we will request only information reasonably needed for verification. Where permitted, an authorized agent may act for you, subject to reasonable verification of authority. We do not require identity verification for a sale or sharing opt-out when the law prohibits doing so.

We respond within the deadlines required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or denial. Where you have an appeal right, reply to our decision or email us with “Privacy Appeal.” We will review the appeal and explain the result, including how to contact the relevant regulator where required.

California. If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to our processing, California residents have the applicable rights described above. The categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of personal information are described in Sections 1–3, and retention criteria appear in Section 6. Advertising disclosures described in Section 3 may constitute sale or sharing under that law. Use the privacy controls in Section 4 or contact us to opt out. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16.

A California resident may also contact us about any rights that apply to disclosures for third-party direct marketing under California’s Shine the Light law. Our current practice is not to provide member contact lists for that purpose.

Not every state privacy law applies to every organization, individual, or processing activity. This section does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

9. Visitors outside the United States

NCLI currently directs its services to the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, and privacy protections may differ from those in your location.

If the European Union GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your information, NCLI acts as the controller for its own processing. Depending on the activity, processing must be supported by an appropriate legal basis: performing a membership agreement, meeting a legal obligation, consent for relevant marketing or tracking, or legitimate interests in operating, improving, and protecting our services, subject to your rights.

Where those laws apply, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability; object to qualifying processing, including direct marketing; withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and complain to the appropriate data protection authority. Contact us using Section 11. Any covered international transfer must use the safeguards required by the applicable law; you may ask us about the transfer arrangements relevant to your information. Using our website does not waive your rights or itself constitute consent to a transfer requiring separate consent.

10. Children’s privacy

Our membership and subscription services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18, including children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided information to NCLI, please contact us. When we learn that we have collected a child’s information contrary to this policy, we will take appropriate steps to delete it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, information practices, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date.

For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required, such as a website notice or email. We will obtain consent where required before applying a new use to previously collected information. Continued use of the website does not replace consent that the law requires us to obtain separately.
