For attorneys
We love ethical attorneys. Smart, funny, beautiful people. Excellent taste in causes.
And we especially appreciate the ones willing to tell us, "That's a great idea — but please let me review it before you put it on the internet."
The National Center for Legal Integrity is looking for attorneys who believe that truth, fairness, and personal responsibility deserve a stronger voice in our legal system.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
If you've ever looked at an abusive claim, an unnecessary legal battle, or a rule that rewards the wrong behavior and thought,
we would like to meet you.
From the beginning
We're building a national effort to expose documented lawsuit abuse, support business owners, and advocate for meaningful reform. Experienced, ethical attorneys are essential to making that work credible and effective.
We need people who can
Your judgment could influence everything from how we handle a member's submission to how we draft proposed legislation.
Where you can help
As NCLI grows, we envision opportunities to contribute in several areas.
1
Our goal is to recruit one or two attorneys from each state to help us understand local requirements, monitor legal developments, and guide our work.
Think of it as helping an ambitious organization keep its enthusiasm within the applicable statutes.
2
Help design responsible submission procedures, confidentiality protections, evidence standards, and publication policies. Review potential patterns and help determine what the records establish — and what requires more investigation.
3
Research existing laws, evaluate reform proposals, draft model legislation, and help explain the likely benefits and unintended consequences. Our developing ideas include fairer settlement incentives, transparent medical pricing, and stronger responses to fraudulent or abusive claims.
4
Help develop a process for reviewing business owners' experiences and documents, identifying issues that warrant attention, and recommending appropriate next steps. Individual legal guidance would be handled through properly established attorney-client arrangements.
5
Contribute articles, review reports, explain legal developments, and create practical resources that business owners can understand and use.
6
Help establish fair standards for our proposed Accountability Index, evaluate our campaigns, and advise NCLI as we develop new initiatives.
A few focused hours in your area of expertise could make a meaningful contribution.
Who we're looking for
We would especially welcome attorneys who have
Worked on tort reform, public policy, or legislative drafting.
Handled abusive litigation, insurance disputes, business defense, or fraud investigations.
Written or spoken about problems in the legal system and practical ways to address them.
Experience with privacy, legal ethics, nonprofit or business governance, or sensitive information.
Helped turn complicated legal issues into clear, useful guidance.
We welcome thoughtful perspectives from both plaintiff and defense practices. A strong commitment to legitimate victims and a strong opposition to lawsuit abuse belong together.
If you care about this mission but your résumé doesn't fit neatly into those categories, please introduce yourself anyway.
Retired attorneys
You may have retired from your practice. Your judgment, perspective, and ability to spot a terrible argument remain valuable.
We welcome retired attorneys interested in policy, research, writing, mentoring, and advisory work. Roles will be matched to each person's experience, licensing status, and applicable professional requirements.

Now and later
Now
We're currently seeking interest, with each engagement structured to meet applicable requirements.
As funding allows
As NCLI grows and receives financial support, we hope to establish paid roles as soon as funding allows.
Future opportunities will depend on funding, organizational needs, and qualifications; participation today does not guarantee a paid role.
This is an opportunity to help shape the organization, its standards, and its priorities from the beginning.
Get involved
Help us build an organization that holds itself to the same standards it asks of everyone else.
